Uh oh, Christmas time is here again. Which means it’s time to organise those Christmas presents and the rest of it. And as much as we’d all like to have a limitless budget for presents, food for the table, new dinner settings and so on, that often isn’t the case. If fact, you don’t have to spend bundles of cash on Christmas presents for everyone. Here’s a few present ideas that won’t break the bank!
The internet is full of great ideas for a bit of DIY present action that’s easy on the budget. Whether it’s cooking up a few of grannie’s famous cookies and putting them in some self decorated leftover jars or even more adventurous, like getting the tools out and building a magazine rack with leftover bits of wood - you’re sure to find plenty of inspiration on the internet for ways to save cash with a make it yourself approach to Christmas presents.
We’ve all got that decoration box full of broken Christmas decorations. But rather than spend money on brand spanking new ones, a few money bucks on super glue and a bit of patience could see a whole bunch of them resurrected. And if you’ve got kids hanging around the place, you can always start your own Santa’s workshop making decorations out of all kinds of bits and pieces without forking out piles of money.
Again, the internet can be a bit of a miracle answer here for amazing recipes using quite simple foods. It’s not all about spending cash on special Christmas food, it’s about doing something thoughtful and different to share with family and friends. What’s something people may not ordinarily eat but would enjoy? And of course, things can be as simple as throwing the BBQ on and rustling up a salad.
Because at the end of the day that’s what Christmas is all about. Finding time to spend with those closest around us, and doing something fun and special together.
Merry Christmas everyone!
